30 day challenge case study – day 3

Okay, so I did a bit more work on this on Friday, although I forgot to set the timer. I made some notes and wrote some content for the new website – I made LOTS of notes in fact and spent about an hour in total.

That contrasts with today, when I’ve been too sidetracked to do much. However, I wrote a 374 word article and posted it to Ezinearticles and scribd, and I bookmarked the scribd article in Traffic Bug. However… the other day I said I’d use Articlesbase.com, but I’m not going to do that after all.

The reason is simple – all their links are NOFOLLOW, which I only realised on Friday or Saturday. The thing I like about them is that they easily outrank Ezinearticles.com these days – with the NOFOLLOW the links are useless for SEO purposes. I could use them to drive traffic directly, which I may try later, but at the moment I want to concentrate on SEO.

So far the site isn’t indexed, but going on my past stats it should be listed tomorrow or Wedneday. Meanwhile I need to write some more content to submit to squidoo, hubpages, blogger and weebly – I’ve been barred from WordPress.com though, so can’t set up a blog there and to nbe honest, I don’t think it’s really needed.

So, final tally was aroun an hour writing content on Friday and 26 minutes writing content, submitting to Ezinearticles and scribd and bookmarking the scribd article. Added to the 110 minutes to date that makes 196 minutes, or 3 hours 16 minutes.

A couple more hours and we’ll be done at this rate.
