Google Analytics reporting delays

Looking at my Google Analytics data, I was a bit shocked to see a massive collapse in visitors to one particular website today.

However, looking in more detail, it appears that there is a delay in reporting rather than a ranking loss causing the low figures; while the real time data appears to be working, the standard reporting is not and another website on which I expected to see a traffic spike thanks to a mailing sent out earlier is showing regular traffic rather than an increase.

In the words of Douglas Adams, “Don’t panic!”. Not yet, at least.
